How would you stop government officials from using inaccurate information?

Oftentimes, members of the Senate and House of Representatives use inaccurate information to justify their claims, particularly in regards to climate change. This opposes logical analysis of issues.

American workers who refuse to work are not paid & usually fired. We shouldn't be paying wages to our government officials who refuse to work, costing the taxpayers millions. What is your stance?
