Why is Congress focused more on collecting contribution than their constituents

My Congress Woman, Grace Meng's staffing was concerned more about collecting funding for the next race than in helping a constituent resolve a problem with Social Security. Constituents matter.

What can be done to reform campaign funding?

Campaign funding is out of control. Politicians who lose their funding also lose their jobs. Legislation can easily be bought by fundraisers, lobbyists and super PACS. Lots of talk and no action.
