As an independent, I could not vote for Bernie Sanders in Florida.

Should Independents be allowed to vote in the Florida presidential primary?

Taxpayers pay for the primary, yet registered voters who are independents are locked out of the voting booth. If independents can't vote, then each party should pay for their private primary.

Persons of all parties, independent, & smaller parties deserve the right to vote in primaries.

If elected, would you support allowing independents to vote in all elections?

Independents make the difference in general elections for every type of politician. However, they don't help nominate a candidate which undermines chances at seeing who the independents will vote for.

Closed primaries are undemocratic. What action would you take to change it?

More and more Americans are identifying themselves as Independent/no party affiliation...yet many states, including Florida, don't allow them to participate in the primaries.
