WELCOME TO THE
FLORIDA OPEN DEBATE
Submitting a question: To submit a question, we ask that you provide your name, email address, and zip code so we can contact you with relevant information -- including updates on the progress of your question and if your question is chosen for the live event. The Display Name you choose will be visible alongside the questions you submit, and if no Display Name is chosen, your first name and last initial will be used. Your city (derived from your zip code) will also be displayed next to your question, and if you choose to submit a Twitter handle, it will be mentioned on Twitter when other people tweet about your question.
Under no circumstance will your email address be made public or sold.
Voting on questions: To ensure that people are not voting multiple times for the same question, we ask all voters to supply an email address and a zip code. Voters with zip codes outside of Florida can nominate questions and cast votes to impact which questions are trending or most seen on the site. Zip codes from Florida will determine which questions are eligible to be asked of candidates. Your Display Name or first name and last initial may be listed with the questions you have submitted and voted for under "Recent Activity" on the front page of the site.
Email: The Open Debate Coalition -- and affiliated groups such as the Progressive Change Institute -- may send you updates by email. If at any time you would like to unsubscribe from these emails, you may do so by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of all emails. For question submissions, we treat your name and city as public information. Cookies may be used.
